about

This song was first recorded by Hank Williams on 6 November 1947. The Riffing Cowboys romp through the track with amp tubes a howlin' and pulses a racin', producing boot-stompin' rock 'n' roll that refuses to play at any volume other than mercilessly LOUD. Warner Hodges is brilliant yet again, coaxing aural mayhem from wood and wire, and Bernie "Buzzz" Haughian tears it up with his harmonica solo--the only non-guitar solo on the Hank 'n' Roll album.

Dan Baird: Vocal

Philip Shaw Bova: Drums

Phillip Victor Bova: Bass

Anders Drerup: Background vocal

Bernie “Buzzz” Haughian: Harmonica

Warner Hodges: Rhythm and lead guitars

Graham Young: Rhythm guitar

about

The Riffing Cowboys Ottawa, Ontario

The world's first rock 'n' roll tribute to Hank Williams--a foot-tapping, and at times fist-pumping, assemblage of basement-bred rock ‘n’ roll that presents some stellar Hank songs in high gear.
